Privacy policy
This site collects as little as possible about you. Here's what that means in practice.
Who is responsible
Divil Digital, based in Taboão da Serra, São Paulo, Brazil, is responsible for the personal data handled through this site. For any question about your data, email me@divil.org.
Cookies and local storage
This site has no advertising and doesn't track you across other sites. The only cookies are Google Analytics ones, and they're only set if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
The site also keeps two small notes in your browser's local storage: your answer to the cookie banner, so it doesn't ask again, and the language you last chose, so the "page not found" page appears in the right language. These stay on your device.
Visitor statistics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site, such as which pages are read and which links bring visitors here. If you accept cookies, Google Analytics sets cookies that recognise your browser on later visits. If you don't, it doesn't set cookies and only receives anonymous signals that a page was viewed, which Google uses to estimate overall figures. Google processes this data, possibly outside Brazil, under its own privacy policy, and we only see overall reports, not who you are.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web server, processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
When you contact us
If you send a message on WhatsApp, by email or with the contact form, we use your name, contact details and what you tell us only to reply and, if we work together, to run the project. We don't sell your details or share them for marketing. WhatsApp and your email provider handle messages under their own privacy policies.
Messages sent with the contact form are stored on Cloudflare and emailed to us through Resend, an email delivery service; both may process them outside Brazil. We keep form messages for 24 months and then delete them. To stop spam, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks your browser for signs of automated use when you press Send, without setting advertising cookies.
Your rights
Under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you can ask whether we hold personal data about you, see it, correct it, have it deleted, or find out how it's used. Email me@divil.org and we'll reply within 15 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page.
